I have bunches of small amounts of various fibers in my stash, and I seem to be on a kick of spinning those up lately. Here’s the latest:
It is a singles yarn that I spun from a bit of fawn colored alpaca roving that I got from the Copper Moose. I would guess it was about 2 ounces or so. I spun it long draw, fairly fine. It drafted incredibly easily and is beautifully soft.
I received a bit of buffalo fiber recently as a gift, and I think I’ll spin that up and ply it with this alpaca. It should make for a very soft, drapey yarn. I’ll let you know how it works out.
